FAQ

What is the deadline to apply for the Tournament?

The deadline for teams to apply is May 2, 2011.  Please submit your application as soon as possible to ensure your place.

How many games will each team play?

U6, U7, and U8 teams will play three games on Saturday.

U9 and U10 will play four games in round robin format.  Two games will be played on Saturday and two games will be played on Sunday.

U12 through U19 will play three in round robin format with group winners advancing to a championship game.  Teams should expect two games on Saturday and one or two games on Sunday.

Please refer to our tournament rules for further details.

Can Co-Ed Teams Play?

Co-Ed teams are welcome.  When registering a co-ed team select "Boys" on the registration form and clearly note within the team competition statement that this is a co-ed team.  All Fishers Soccer Club U14 and above teams will be co-ed.

U6 through U12.  Within our U12 and younger divisions, co-ed teams will play within a boys division.  If enough co-ed teams of like age and ability register we will create a co-ed flight.

U14, U16, and U19.  We expect co-ed flights in our U14, U16, and U19 divisions as this mirrors the format of our recreational program.  Boys and girls divisions will be formed if sufficient applications are received.

What if our players are not registered with Indiana Soccer?

Recreational teams not currently covered under Indiana Soccer may register with Indiana Soccer to become eligible for the tournament.  All participating teams and players must be registered and in good standing with Indiana Soccer and must be composed of only recreational players.  There are no exceptions as teams are expected to be already participating in recreational league play.  Tournament-only or all-star teams will not be accepted.

What is the format for U6 through U8?

Fishers Soccer Club uses a split field format for U6 through U8 teams where a single team divides into two teams that play on adjacent fields simultaneously.  The split field format will not be offered during the Kohl's Cup.  FSC coaches and guest clubs using split field formats are encouraged to consider dividing their teams into two teams for the tournament which will help provide sufficient playing time for all players.

If you are dividing your U6, U7, or U8 team into two teams for the purpose of playing in the tournament, please submit a single application for your team and follow-up with an e-mail to our Registrar.  The registrar will then create a second team account for that team and send you login credentials.  Roster information for the second team is not needed.  Your credit card will be billed for EACH of the teams registered.

Are "Guest Players" Allowed?

Yes, up to three guest players are allowed.

Teams with an insufficient number of players to participate should email the tournament directors to receive guidance.  Remember that our guest player policy is not meant to create all star teams but to allow your team to participate.

Fishers SC Teams.  Fishers SC will work with division coordinators to facilitate placement of guest players.  If you are aware of a team in need of players or players in need of a team email the tournament directors and provide us the details.  Fishers SC will facilitate the placement of interested guest players with teams needing the extra players.

Visiting Teams.  You may use up to three (3) guest players from your club so long as the three players are also registered with Indiana Soccer.

Please refer to our tournament rules for further details.
