REGISTRATION FOR RECREATIONAL SOCCER
FSC will register players for our spring 2009 recreational season during the month of January 2009. Two walk-in sessions will be held at the new SPORTS office on January 17 and 25. In addition, families will be able to register players on-line. More details to be posted in December.
FISHERS SOCCER CLUB BOARD NOMINATIONS
Thank you to all who have expressed interest in our open board positions. The application process is now closed; all candidates are being considered and will be contacted by our nomination committee. Questions and comments may still be submitted to nominations@fisherssc.org.
NEW LEAGUE IN FISHERS
Adult Soccer has arrived in Fishers!
The newly formed, Fishers Adult Soccer League is now registering for indoor play ( 5v5 format ) with an 8 games season starting in mid-October. Tteams can have up to 10 players and will play on Wed, Sat or Sunday. Times will be confirmed later in the month. Team cost is $695 for the season.
Contact Roger Larreur ( rlarreur@aol.com or 321-303-0071 ) to register complete teams or individuals. Registration closes October 5.
The i naugural season of the Fishers Adult Soccer League started August 17, 2008 at FSC's New Hope fields (126th and Brooks School Rd) and is open to males over 30 years of age and females over 20 years of age.

As a club, we now possess a tremendous comprehensive tool that will provide a roadmap for the training and development of our most important asset: our players. This tool is the new Fishers SC Curriculum, posted here for our use.
Coaches, you will be contacted via email with usernames and passwords for access to this new exciting, age-specific curriculum.
HYDRATION GUIDELINES FOR SOCCER PLAYERS DURING HOT WORKOUTS
August, in Indiana, is typically hot, sometimes very hot and humid. Intense exercise at temperatures greater than 80°F, particularly in combination with humidity greater than 40%, can lead to a rapid rise in the body’s core temperature and therefore a risk of exertional heat illnesses. This typically occurs during pre-season training and is caused by multiple factors: hot/humid environment, poor fitness level, excessive body fat/weight, dehydration, inadequate clothing, and abuse of dietary supplements. Welcome to Acceleration Indiana. We have formed a relationship with Fishers Soccer Club that we expect to be mutually beneficial to both organizations. We will be providing useful articles on nutrition for soccer players and how to improve your athletic performance as a soccer player. We will also provide training tips to help you become a better player and reduce your risk of injury. We will also provide a financial rebate to Fishers Soccer Club for each player who signs up for an Acceleration introduction session. Also watch for special announcements through out the year regarding training options for Fishers Soccer players. In this article we will introduce ourselves and give you some background on Acceleration Indiana.
