TRAVEL TRYOUTS - JUNE 2nd THROUGH JUNE 6th

Fishers Soccer Club is the largest soccer club in Indiana with over 2,300 players participating in our program. We have a program to support players of all capabilities and playing levels, including our highly competitive select program. If you are interested in joining Fishers SC for the 2008 Travel season plan on attending tryouts to be held June 2 through 8th at Cumberland Park.

2008 FISHERS SOCCER SUMMER CAMPS

FISHERS SOCCER CLUB ACADEMY TRAVEL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

BOYS & GIRLS AGES 7 and 8
Every Friday for 6 weeks Starting April 25th, 2008
(5:30pm till 6:45pm) at 106th and Cumberland Road

The “Academy Travel Development” Program is open to all boys and girls ages 7 and 8. The program is designed to teach a well-defined set of age specific skills to all players involved, providing a transitional link between recreational soccer....MORE

A revised Team Manual has been posted in the club resource center.  If you are a coach or team manager please make time to review the document which may be found in the either the Travel or Recreation section of the site.

 

NEW CLUB COACHING CURRICULUM

As a club, we now possess a tremendous comprehensive tool that will provide a roadmap for the training and development of our most important asset: our players. This tool is the new Fishers SC Curriculum, posted here for our use.

Coaches, you will be contacted via email with usernames and passwords for access to this new exciting, age-specific curriculum.

 

HYDRATION GUIDELINES FOR SOCCER PLAYERS DURING HOT WORKOUTS

Girl with waterAugust, in Indiana, is typically hot, sometimes very hot and humid.  Intense exercise at temperatures greater than 80°F, particularly in combination with humidity greater than 40%, can lead to a rapid rise in the body’s core temperature and therefore a risk of exertional heat illnesses. This typically occurs during pre-season training and is caused by multiple factors: hot/humid environment, poor fitness level, excessive body fat/weight, dehydration, inadequate clothing, and abuse of dietary supplements. Welcome to Acceleration Indiana. We have formed a relationship with Fishers Soccer Club that we expect to be mutually beneficial to both organizations. We will be providing useful articles on nutrition for soccer players and how to improve your athletic performance as a soccer player. We will also provide training tips to help you become a better player and reduce your risk of injury. We will also provide a financial rebate to Fishers Soccer Club for each player who signs up for an Acceleration introduction session.  Also watch for special announcements through out the year regarding training options for Fishers Soccer players.  In this article we will introduce ourselves and give you some background on Acceleration Indiana.
